I'm Bill Hurston

I spent decades mastering the knowledge, or technical, aspects of business. It took me 25 years to finally realize that true, meaningful success depends on something far less tangible: self-awareness and the ability to lead, engage, and adapt.

As a CPA, I witnessed firsthand that technical expertise alone is insufficient. The distinction between average and exceptional professionals lies not in the ability to crunch numbers or master expertise, but in the capacity to lead, communicate, and make sound decisions.

But no one was teaching those skills.

I founded the Soft Skills Academy to provide the CPA industry, other professionals, and small businesses with essential leadership, engagement, and decision-making skills that drive success.
